Donald Twyman

Bruce W. McCaul, Ph.D.
Dr. McCaul has a long and proven track record of success in the commercialization of new technologies, including gaining regulatory permission to market various medical devices. He is the President and founder of Oxigraf, a leading manufacturer of laser diode spectroscopy- based gas sensors used in medicine and aerospace. Previously, during Dr. McCaul’s tenure as a Director of ILC Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of flash and arc lamps used in solid state lasers and medical fiberscopes, sales grew from $12 million to $52 million in six years. Dr. McCaul founded Molectron Corporation, which became the largest manufacturer of pulsed tunable lasers and of pyroelectric infrared detectors before its acquisition by Cooper Lasersonics. He was retained by Cooper Lasersonics to oversee a new Ophthalmic Division, which saw sales of ophthalmic lasers grow from $1 million to $20 million in three years. The division also developed the technology for refractive error correction by laser sculpturing of the cornea that was later sold to Visx. Dr. McCaul received his B.S. (Physics) from Yale University, his M.S. and Ph.D. from Stanford University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.


Harold Berger
Harold Berger is an applied physicist with more than 30 years experience in imaging systems and methods for nondestructive testing. Mr. Berger’s background includes work with x- rays, gamma rays, neutrons, protons, infrared, holography and ultrasound. Mr. Berger served as President of Industrial Quality, Inc. (IQI) from 1981 until 2003, when he was appointed Senior Scientist at the Digitome Corporation, the company that acquired IQI in 1999. Mr. Berger founded IQI and guided the company through many years of productive research and development work, primarily in the field of nondestructive testing. As former Chief of the Office of Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) at the National Bureau of Standards (NBS, now the National Institute of Standards and Technology, NIST), Mr. Berger initiated and directed the extensive NDE program at NBS (1975-1981). Before going to NBS in 1973 to set up a program in neutron radiography, Berger was a Senior Physicist and Leader of the Nondestructive Testing Group at Argonne National Laboratory (1960-1973). His earlier professional experience was with the General Electric Company (1951-1959) and Battelle Memorial Institute (1959-1960). Mr. Berger has BS and MS degrees in Physics from Syracuse University. He holds 12 U.S. patents and his technical publications number more than 200. Technical publications include four books (three as Editor) and more than 30 book and encyclopedia articles. Mr. Berger served as Technical Editor of the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) journal, Materials Evaluation, from 1969 until 1986. He was co-developer of a new glass scintillator selected for an R&D 100 Award (1991). His honors include the rank of Fellow from the American Nuclear Society, ASNT, ASTM and the British Institute of NDT.


Gordon H. Clow
Mr. Clow has had proven success in providing technical services to the Federal Government as well as private industry. As cofounder and board member of Vanguard Technologies Corporation (1979), Mr. Clow was instrumental growing the company from its initial three employees to over 1600 employees and $66 million in annual revenue. The company was engaged in providing a wide range of ADP services to the Federal Government including facilities management, systems analysis, programming and systems integration. Mr. Clow held Chief Operating Officer responsibilities for executive management, line management, strategy and long-range planning, marketing, proposal development, budgeting and contract negotiations. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors with corporate level responsibilities for establishing and implementing policies and procedures. In addition, Mr. Clow gained valuable experience through planning and participating in Vanguard’s initial public offering and listing on the American Stock Exchange in 1986. The company was sold two years after the IPO.
Mr. Clow has participated as a private investor in several development-stage companies since his retirement from Vanguard. He provides funding and management consulting support and works with principals to develop marketing strategies, long-range planning and maximizing shareholder value. Mr. Clow received his B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy (1964) and his MBA from American University (1975).


Patricia N. Twyman
Mrs. Twyman has worked in the corporate executive offices of several Fortune 500 companies. Serving as Executive Assistant to Richard E. Dauch, Exec. V.P. Manufacturing, Volkswagen Mfg. Company of America, and again with Mr. Dauch in a similar position when Mr. Dauch was personally recruited by Lee Iaccoa to be come Executive V.P. of Manufacturing at Chrysler Corporation. After moving to CA Mrs. Twyman obtained a position as Administrator of the Executive Office at Epson, America, Inc. for a ten year period, reporting directly to Mr. Yasuhiro Tsubota, President and Chairman of the Board. In addition to working at the Epson Headquarters in CA, Mrs. Twyman was often called upon to work on special projects for the Chairman of Seiko Epson Corporation, Mr. Ichiro Hattori who was headquartered in Japan. Mrs. Twyman currently has the administrative and financial responsibilities for Digitome Corporation.
